Review: Solstice (Solstice Chronicles #1) by Bryan W. Dull

Blurb:
In Gavin Moxley's world, there is no thin line between right and wrong. In a personal crusade to help sever a line of disease carried by a clan of vampires; Gavin has no choice to be ruthless. The Vampires are purposely infecting the human population…waiting for humans to actively pass it on to each other. Gavin takes no chances and executes them one by one. Not strong or powerful, finding humans before they turn into full vampires is ideal and Gavin’s best bet.

Yes, this is Gavin’s life…

…And nothing ever changes it until a young half breed vampire with special abilities, Solstice, attaches and makes herself a fixture in his life when she asks for his help and protection and when a reluctant Gavin agrees he joins a dangerous game of cat and mouse. There is no safe place and the pair are constantly watching their backs. Torn between his hate and his love for Solstice Gavin is thrown into a moral dilemma that only he can figure out but two things are clear…

His faith and Humanity are being tested and the past is not always forgotten.

My Review:
ARC for Review ~ WOW! This is an amazing story. Talk about myterious, dark adult reads, this is a fantastical story which faces one, and even more, of our evils in today's society and offers a paranormal battle to fight against it. The author has created a scary world chock full of danger, mystery, suspense, horror, well placed humor, action-packed from page one to the end. It kept me riveted to my seat. I LOVED IT!!

The main character has lost everything that meant anything to him, causing him to create a persona to mask all that pain, then he meets Solstice and their worlds are about to embark on a journey that will open his eyes to things that were unknown to him.

I highly recommend this spicy vampiric read to all 18+ due to strong language, and sexual content.

Killer by Nathan Squiers

A look into the mind of a pure-born sang who's succumbed to the ultimate taboo of his people and begun to murder other vampires to drink their blood. The piece is written as an internal narration through the POV of the character as he contemplates/justifies his actions as he walks the streets to the night club he owns/operates. The trip, however, turns from a cocky romp to an all-out panic when the protagonist discovers he's being pursued. Before getting inside the club, Xander and Marcus (recognizable by their descriptions and "chemistry" with one another) catch up to him and, ultimately, exact justice.

Review: Christian's a FREAK (Crimson Shadow Series) by Nathan Squiers

Christian's a FREAK by Nathan Squiers
My rating: 5 of 5 Hearts

Wickedly Astonishing! Nathan keeps it coming in just giving enough to make me crave more. I love the World that Nathan Squiers has created! It is brilliantly portrayed with his unique and descriptive writing style. As soon as a Crimson Shadow new release comes out I buy them and read them as soon a I can.

In Christian's a FREAK, we find a horrific scene of a young man in a situation he can not remember happening to him. As the story evolves the twists and turns left me wanting more..... more of the dark world that I have to enjoy. That of The Crimson Shadow...

This series is not meant for the faint of heart! If you like horror, vampires, and psychological thrilling reads then this is one I Highly Recommend!

A CHBB Publishing New Release: Descendants by Andrew Katz

Welcome to I Love My Authors

Release Number 3 is Descendants by Andrew Katz

Knights are dead and gone since the days of Camelot. The ancient battles pitting sword and shield against one another are just a distant memory, one that very few even give validity, and that’s exactly how it should be. I mean honestly, if people knew half of what really went on in the shadows and under the bed they’d probably wind up institutionalized. Luckily, that’s where Sir Godric Patronar comes in. Sir Godric is a Knight. That’s right, an armor-clad, sword-wielding powerhouse of old, with all the powers and responsibilities that come with that position. They’re not all gone, and a few, like Sir Godric, even reside in the Kingship of North America. Trouble has been brewing in the Kingdom… and it’s kind of Godric's fault. He killed a bunch of gnomes, which in turn pissed off some trolls. Now they’re trying to kill him and start a war with all of humanity. It’s up to Sir Godric to stop the impending war but it’s kind of hard when an ancient evil is awakening and trying to block his path at every turn.

Victim (Crimson Shadow Series) by Nathan Squiers

Victim by Nathan Squiers

My rating: 5 of 5 Hearts

WOW! Wicked Indeed.. OMGosh I am amazed at how Xander deals with the events taking place in this short story, the more I read this series, the better picture of Xander Stryker I get.. and the more I LOVE him! As fictional characters go, this one grabbed me from the start and has not let go.

Nathan Squiers is an amazing writer, spinning a tale so horrific, yet so unfortunately real, while bringing me in up close to the scenes that I found my jaw hanging open.

This read is not for everyone, and definitely not the faint of heart either. If you are looking forward to have your mind blown away, and love horrific psychological vampiric thrillers, then this read is for you.

This is definitely an 18+ read, due its graphic nature.

Wicked Paints (Prequel to Crimson Shadow Series) by Nathan Squiers

Wicked Paints by Nathan Squiers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Elizabeth has a gift. Every night, allowing her mind to travel into dark and mysterious places, she sees a world of vampires and creatures of darkness; a world she knows is real and feels compelled to paint.

But her gift--her talent--is going to be put to the ultimate test when she dreams of Xander Stryker.

Driven by a need to depict her new subject in all the horror and splendor that she felt in her dream, she resorts to the unimaginable. Her need will pull her into the depraved depths of the very supernatural world that she'd dreamt of for so long.

Is her mind prepared for the darkness of the unseen world, and is her body capable of withstanding her own unnatural motivations to create the perfect portrait...

A portrait of the legacy of the Crimson Shadow.

OMG!! What a story line! Just WOW!

Elizabeth is an artist who has bizarre dreams about creatures like vampires and such, then she must capture them on canvas. It is when she dreams about Xander Stryker ~ her creativity gets really artistic in her portrayal of him.

The world is twisted, dark and believable, the characters are well described and the actions portrayed will blow your mind! I LOVED IT!!

This is NOT A YA READ! I say that due its' mature theme.
