Guest Post: Lisa Kessler's Night Walker

Inspiration

Hi everyone –

Thanks to Wendy for inviting me to her blog!  She recently won an “Inspiring Blog” award and it couldn’t go to a more deserving lady…  How so?

Wendy loves books, but it goes even further than that…  She loves authors!  And there is nothing more inspiring to a writer than a reader who is “hungry for more”.  She sends notes and posts asking about upcoming books, tweets about your characters, etc.

And it always makes me want to write something more for her! LOL  Staring at a blank page can be daunting, but knowing there is someone who can’t wait to read it, really fires me up to write…

Ray Bradbury challenged me to write 52 stories in 52 weeks and while the process helped me improve my writing, nothing fired me up more to produce those stories than posting a new one on my blog and talking to readers who came by and commented.

Storytelling is nothing without a reader or a listener.  None of us would know who the Vampire Lestat was, or Edward Cullen, or Calisto Terana without readers giving the characters life off of the page.

So thank you Wendy for reading my books and telling others about them!!!  And thank you to all the other readers out there who support authors you love.  Keep emailing notes and leaving facebook posts.  It definitely inspires us to keep pounding the keyboard!

Lisa’s debut novel, Night Walker, is now available in Barnes & Noble stores nationwide, as well as in all the eBook formats.  The novel is also a 2012 San Diego Book Award Finalist and a Double Finalist in the Book Seller’s Best for Best Paranormal and Best First Book.

A tender and twisted story line with emotionally intense characters and a  world that is as much modern-day as it is historical. A truely heartfelt read. ~ Lovetiggi's Book Reviews

He gave up his soul for a second chance to love her...
Two and a half centuries ago, Calisto Terana lost everything when a zealous priest murdered the woman he loved. Now, desperate for another chance to love her, he wants redemption for the mistake that cost her life.
She's haunted by dreams of her own death...
After catching her fiance with another woman, Kate Bradley returns to San Diego to clear her head. The last thing she needs is romance, but after meeting Calisto she's drawn to him in ways she doesn't understand.
They've waited in the shadows for centuries...
Calisto has no doubt Kate is the reincarnation of his lost love, but the Fraternidad Del Fuego Santo has a new watcher with dark ambitions of his own. As old enemies reemerge and a new threat arises, the betrayal that enslaved Calisto to the night might destroy the only woman he's ever loved again.
